Very Poor Customer Service - bots didn't understand my questions and then the email responses did not respond to my question, were like bot answers. There was no phone number to call, so I was stuck. I was not happy with their website and set-up - and it is more expensive than a competitor. I would not recommend this company to anyone!
I'm so grateful that Tax1099 has both live chat and phonecall support with barely any wait. Although the live chat rep tried to help me, it kind of felt like they just wanted to drop the chat. And they did drop the chat even though I didn't feel we were done chatting. This was weird because I tend to feel live chats are more helpful than phone calls. On the other hand, when I did call support on 1/21/22, "Chris Pulliam" was awesome. I can only put his full name here because he emailed me some easy instructions I can try. He went above and beyond trying to help me; he didn't need to go further into Bill.com territory since my problem was connection-related, but he still did. He went so far as to forward me a 2nd set of instructions in case the 1st set didn't work out. He actually helped me identify what caused the connection issue in the first place.
I used this software for the first time and was impressed to see how easy it is to use Tax1099 for filing my various 1099 and quarterly payroll forms. I was skeptical that i may have to signup for a subscription service but was happy to pay only a transactional fee for what I used. Would be recommending to other accountants.
It was pretty easy to use Tax1099 to file my handful of 1099 NEC. Although IRS has not started accepting, I was able to submit and schedule my forms on Tax1099 website. I liked the ability to file in advance and one less thing to worry about.
The service works well if you have a simple 1099 to follow and are not worried too terribly about security or any issues you may have once you hit the submit button. I have reached out to the support team a number of times over the period of 1 week and received only one generic response referring me to a support link on the site that did not function. If you have a handful of 1099s to issue every year you are better off going through the fairly long process of registering with the IRS to use their FIRE system. The up front investment of time in the IRS system will save you time in the long run vs trying to get support from this site.
I have been using Tax1099 for 1099 MISC efiling. Last week attended one of their 1099-NEC webinar. Site seems to have 1099-NEC available now but wondering if any one had a chance to file early? We wont be ready until Jan and i know even filing early means tax1099 will keep the data and will file when IRS opens up. Thought?
Reviews are really low and horrible but product works great! I consider myself some one who likes to touch and feel it before forming her opinion. I must say opinions listed here seems so much different than my actual experience using Tax1099.com.
Tons of feature and easy to use. I would give them 10 stars if I could>
Very easy to efile with Tax1099.com. LIked the way it brings over data from Xero.com.
Also did few excel imports and that worked well. I guess the key is to file early so support is not as busy and you get quality help.
I had to call support and rep knew what she was doing. Entire call lasted for about 9 mins.
We're a CPA firm and file 1099's for over 200 entities. We used Tax1099 for the 2021 1099's and were quite pleased. They convinced us to upgrade to Enterprise so all of our staff could be under one umbrella and share data. I upgraded early so they the process of combining our users could be completed far in advance of the season. Then I was informed that I would have to renew again, which I did, but now I'm informed that my November renewal is an extra $100 (after I renewed based on the website price). Fine - not happy but... Now we're been informed that the product we purchased no longer includes the 1,000 free TIN matches - the cost is a $1 each. Irritating yes, but here's the kickier. Never were we informed that the per return prices had tripled from:
The first 1-10 forms - 90 cents to $2.99 each
The 11 - 150 forms - 55 cents to $1.99 each
The 151 - 500 forms are $1.19 each Don't really remember last year's price.
In addition, mailing went from $1.50 to $1.75 per return. And the pricing is based on EIN reporter and not the number of returns we file.
Apparently they don't keep their sales people informed about pricing and the website pricing isn't accurate either. Looking for a new service for 2022 returns.
I had such an easy time of it! The website is very self explanatory once you navigate around for a couple minutes. I contacted the customer service team because one of the dates said it would be filed on 2/6/2017, I questioned it and they replied back saying that only box 7's had to be filed by 1/31. I was so pleased by the support I received! It's so affordable, i don't know why anyone would fuss with the paper versions!
Answer: Hi, Michelle! If the state is a participant in the Combined Federal State Filing Program, the IRS will forward important information from your federal filing to the state. While some states have additional requirements where state withholdings are concerned, as a general rule, you won't need to send a separate filing to the CFSFP state.
Answer: Hi Roxanne, We have made many improvements, including a streamlined dashboard we will be moving to the site in a few days, additional staff for the deadline period, and a number of customer requests from last season. We will have some user training sessions beginning in November to familiarize customers with the updates. If you are a registered user on Tax1099.com, look for an email inviting you to register for one of those sessions in the next week or two. If not, send your email address to support@tax1099.com, and ask to be included when we send those invitations. Thanks!
Answer: Hi TW, thank you for your candid review. We'd like to reach out to you and resolve any issues when it is convenient for you. Send us a note at support@tax1099.com with subject SiteJabber and we'll make sure you get taken care of. Thanks. -Tom
Answer: Hi, Stacey, Yes, we file to all 50 states according to the most recent filing requirements of each state! Whether the state requires a separate eFiling, paper filing, or CD-ROM, we've got it covered. It's important to note that you'll need to submit any additional state filing forms at the same time you submit the federal eFiling - once you've submitted the federal eFiling, you won't be able to go back and file with the state in a separate transaction. Let us know if you have any other questions! Tax1099
Answer: Make sure you do not have local system restrictions due to configuration of antivirus software, firewalls, etc. This can cause plugin to not open. Saw some article on this when we had similar issues last but no issues after we used the first time.
Answer: Hi, Jerry! When you eFile, the IRS doesn't require a 1096. We have one available in your account, if you'd like to print it for your records. To access the form, click the "+" icon in the top right corner of your Tax1099 dashboard screen. You'll see "Generate Summary (1096/ACA)" in the column on the right side. Thanks! Tax1099
Answer: Yes, we are an approved vendor for IRS. You can e- file with us.
Answer: Hi, yes we can file the Massachusetts filing along with the Federal filing as long as the dollar amount exceeds the threshhold limit. If it doesn't, then the state doesn't require a filing.
