Lately Akira has been a joke. I've made multiple purchases of items that showed as in stock, only to have my purchased refunded a week later. In most cases it's been items from a set (top and pants). It would be nice if they would give me the option to cancel the entire order. I don't need one of two items, nor do I need one of them in another size. Do better Akira.
Sent boots that are defective and unwearable. They won't do anything about them. Stole my money. Won't exchange for a wearable pair.
Such bad service, bought one item that was too large and they would not let me exchange the item for the correct size! I've never heard of anything like it. Will never order again unless I know for sure the size I wear. And there's no way to really know because everything fits differently. Now I'm stuck with items I can't even fit. This company has absolutely no consideration for customers and does not care about anything but money. They just lost a customer. The rewards program is also a scam.
I've ordered here twice, I like to give everything two chances, but for the prices you're paying, the quality is HORRIBLE, like shein if not worse quality, everything is thin and cheap. For the prices, you're better off shopping on Shein for 1/4 the cost...You'd think at some of the price points you'd be getting somewhat kind of quality.
Don't get me started on the inconsistent sizing, I am a medium/small, ordered all mediums, some were super loose and others were ungodly tight? I am so happy I got all this at a discount cause it's horrid. Blocking them and never shopping here again.
My gut tells me that every 5 star review on here is sponsored by Akira. There are too many reviews describing experiences of never receiving goods and probably having to contact your credit card company to reverse the charge. Buyer beware, some things are too good to be true!
A customer of almost 2 years.
This is my go to when I have any type of upcoming event and, when I want to dress differently than everyone else. I have never had a problem with delivery. Sizing however, yes but maybe 4 times. It was my size but the cut was not. Can't always get it right so I don't blame them. Good thing is, I only paid 5 to 10 for the items. Regarding shipping, if you spend 60 before taxes, it's free! The only time I've contacted customer service were to check on my reward points. That wasn't an issue either. I give Akira and overall 9/10. I love this company and how they stay ahead of the fashion trends and you will NOT see any of these items on Fashion Nova. Happy Shopping
I ordered a coat from Akira in January however I got it shipped to their Hyde Park Location I picked it up on 3.25.2024 mind you the rep said i could pick it up and return it back now their saying I can't because it's past 30 days so never mind the coats material is bs and it sheds its brand new not worn tags attached but I can't return it and not even get a gift card or store credit so I'm out of $120 for a horrible quality of a coat I'll never ship their again
These are the real reviews from Akira customers. They have the worse customer service in America. I traveled to another state to return a jacket and just get the right size. They would not let me. The customer service on the phone was just as horrible. Warning do not shop online cause if it doesn't fit you can't do anything about it and if you go to the store your going to be charged more. They will not work with you buy any means. Do not shop here please I'm warning you. Me and all my friends have stopped.
Don't online shop at this place. I have had the worst experience. I placed an order on November 8th and never received it. It's showing as still being shipped for two weeks now with no movement. The customer is terrible.
I received a text advising me of a VIP sale this weekend…50% off with the discount code FLASH, Ive tried numerous times and the response is that the code is not valid. I like Akira however their website is very difficult to navigate. I have no idea which items qualify for the discount. There are times i just give up becsuse you can spend hours searching and it seems as if you can never reach the end and then when you do the discount codes do not work. Last month I was in Chicago and i decided to visit the store…another awful experience. I had to spend time searching the website to check and see if the prices were cheaper on line. If they were they would honor the price, however they offer better discounts on line. I would not recommend anyone shop at the actual store. Actually, im almost at the point of giving up shopping online.
Answer: They are 100% legit. I have been buying clothes and shoes from them for years and everything I've gotten is not only beautiful but it holds up to multiple wears. They are my first place to shop whenever I wanna update my wardrobe.
