They provide no refunds for any reason. Try for a shorter plan as you purchased the larger plan due to a gift incentive? They will not provide the gift just because you purchase for someone else. Request for a lower plan (1 hour from purchase)? They will request you purchase the smaller plan on top of the larger plan before they will refund the larger plan.

What sort of company does this sound like to you?

I got a 3 month subscription from sakuraco and thought i was only getting 3 months,imagen my suprise when i get recharged agin for another 3 months
Nowhere do they say you get recharged
Tried customer service they said it auto-renews if you don't cancel it and they have a no-refund policy
Im obviously disputing this through my card currently but super scammy behavior from the company and customer service itself
Snacks are also always stale and at one point one of my boxs was sitting in a warehouse for 2 months!
Do not buy they aint worth any of your money

Wonderful experience

The box was beautifully packaged and filled, each item wrapped with care. I received the box well and was excited to find it in a fantastic condition! I'm usually skeptic of these things but I couldn't be happier to have taken the risk with sakuraco. The box came with a beautiful piece of artwork and a sake glass, both of which I adore and would be happy to purchase separately. This whole experience has been wonderful and I'm already planning on renewing my subscription!

This is the second sakura co box I've ordered and I will absolutely be ordering more! Everything included is of extremely high quality and is always delivered promptly. It might feel expensive but I've had other similar snack boxes and the quality difference is clear and you're also supporting local artisanal businesses. 10/10

The Best Japanese Snack Box!

Traveling Japan by car has been a part of my journey navigating through this country. Having a Japanese snack box sent to me monthly gives me so much excitement all the time! Being able to taste so many food (snacks) from different prefectures that has its own specialties gives mo so much joy. Imagine Sakuraco and Tokyo Treat together each month? How did I get so lucky!? I can't wait to my box next month! 🥰

I am encountering trouble when getting my box from customs. I immediately contacted the support team to get help and provided me with documents that helped me to get my box, and I am truly happy about it. Overall, 4.5/5.

WARNING: Sakuraco and Tokyo Treat operate a scam. This company uses a predatory and deceptive business practice which deliberately uses an "Auto-Renew" opt-in on any purchase regardless of its duration (ie, 1 month, 3 month, 6 month, etc) without disclosing this fact. No account is set up is necessary. No emails are sent to purchaser (or receiver) of this service, disclosing auto-renew will be taking place. Their customer service portal is deliberately broken, and no claims can be filed. Their customer service department does not respond to email (or expensive international phone calls) to resolve the issue. Tokyo Treat / Sakuraco does not process a refund, based on their predatory practices. AVOID these services.

My boxes never arrived
January 8, 2024

The first box was shipped on november the 17th, the second one was shipped on december the 19th. Today is january the 8th and none of my boxes have arrived yet! - writing from Italy.

Also, I totally didn't buy the second box on purpose. It appeared as if I was only buying one month, the next month they charged me out of the blue and that's when I realized it was actually a monthly plan.
