Dawn was an amazing resource and support in helping my family find the next home for my mom. I was fairly certain that the resource part would be there, I did not count on the support piece. It was invaluable as the experience was more emotional than I was prepared for.

A Place for mom provided several independent living centers that met our criteria. Including distance from our home, quality care and well maintained facilities. We did contract with one of the living centers recommended by A Place for Mom.

When my parents told me that they were ready to move into an independent living community, I wasn't really sure where to start the search. My wife talked to some co-workers and some of them recommended A Place for Mom. After making the obligatory "What about Dad?" joke, we called and got connected with Vicki, who immediately sent us 5 locations that fit what we thought Mom and Dad would like. She set up a visit for us at the closest community and followed up with us afterwards to make sure we had all of our questions answered. I have now learned so much about the various levels of care available and how different providers cater to those various needs. It was nice to have someone show us the ropes rather than having to figure things out on our own.

Excellent. The service helped us locate independent living facilities in our budget with the serviced we desired. It was quick and saved us hours of wasted time. We were able to get appointments in a day. Nice work. People on phone were knowledgeable and helpful.

Due to sudden decline in mom's situation, I was in urgent need of a memory care facility. Within the first hour, I had 4 referrals, with ratings and two same-day appointments to visit places that met my criteria.
They offered support and understanding and made a huge difference.

DeeKenna Rohde was such an invaluable aid in helping me find a wonderful assisted-living facility for my mom. I live in Colorado, and my mom lives in Albuquerque, NM. I first contacted a few NM state, county and city agencies to ask what assistance they could provide. They couldn't provide much, saying I would need to contact every facility myself. I contacted A Place for Mom. And the first facility DeeKenna recommended was the facility I chose for my mom.

When faced with the realization that mom would need the support and safety of an assisted living facility and with no experience in navigating the maze of choices I turned to A Place for Mom. My contact, Robert I. Was amazing! He listened to the needs, budget and concerns my mother had and recommended the perfect facility. APFM offered several choices and left the decision to us. Mom moved in yesterday and is very happy.

We loved the service, information, resources and our advisor Michelle. She guided, encouraged, and gave us a wealth of information to help us in this difficult process and even encouraged me a lot in a very complex, stressful family situation in dealing with this.

I began my search for Senior Living looking for an appropriate place for my husband and I. However as it was developing my husband suddenly passed away. Having a new set of priorities given the major change of circumstances was challenging but I was able to adapt and follow through with the recommendations that were provided. Great help in pointing out communities and setting up tours. Also the special calls made for guidance and speaking with directors.

They gave me places to go see, which worked out very well. I had to move and had no idea where to start looking. I found an apartment in my budget that I like.

I checked out the APFM website after watching an ad on TV. Shortly after a very helpful woman called and we talked for a while. I stress helpful. Within an hour after that call, I had an email with appointments with 5 or 6 facilities in the area all set up.
I received a number of calls and emails form her in the next few weeks. Not so many as to be a pest, but enough to keep me moving along. We found a place that I am very happy with, that meets our needs. Mom moved in recently and so far things have been as good as I might haved hoped.

It took a while to find a place because we're picky.

I was given a list of five possibilities. Turned out the first one on the list was the best one IMO.

A Place for Mom saved us so much time and stress searching for a housing solution for my mother. The specialists were very professional and knowledgeable and provided a wide variety of options in the varying locations where my siblings lived. I found A Place for Mom's assistance to be transformative. I stumbled upon them by accident after I had conducted an extensive search of assisted living options for my mother using AI. They identified options that I have failed to identify and provided a rational way of going about finding an appropriate living situation for my mother.

In fact, she's living in one of the facilities they identified now!

Stephanie was very compassionate, helpful and professional. She really took a lot of stress off my shoulders and was happy to help. She gave me several places to think about; but 2 of them really stood out to me: Gemstone and Avalon. They were both top notch, very attentive to their patients, very sweet caregivers. We finally settled on Avalon as they have a "quiet area" for people who get overstimulated. Stephanie walked me through what was needed and made sure that we were satisfied with our choice. I highly recommend A Place for Mom, they are just the best and were so helpful!
