There was a problem with them reading my prescription. I was never notified until I inquired why it was taking so long for my lenses to arrive. Upon rectifying the situation, I received two boxes of lenses that are not my prescription.
The website is user friendly, which made ordering easy. I received my order in less than a week. The contacts were less expensive than ordering through my Ophthalmologist office, and I was also offered a rebate, which saved even more money!
Overall it's very simple and easy to order contacts through 1-800-GET-LENS. My only issue is how they advertise the overall price with the mail-in rebate. I'm thinking I'll be charged the 17.75 or so for each box, (I use the Biofinity lenses) but when I go check out, it's about $260. It wasn't until I was able to look at the invoice that I noticed a $70+ service fee tacked on. I'm mailing in the rebate so, overall, it's whatever, but I would have liked to have known upfront just how much my 4 boxes were going to cost me in total.
After not receiving my order in a timely manner, I reached out to Customer Service. The mishap indicated a second party mishap occurred in the mailing/delivery process. Once I reported not receiving my order, the company immediately responded and made sure problem was corrected and my contact lens were replaced. I am enjoying the product.
The ordering experience was easy: uploaded my prescription, it was quickly verified and approved. However, it then took about a month to receive my order as they had to order from a supplier even though they were said to be in stock. Was annoying, but not the end of the world. I now have my contacts, and they were cheaper than any other supplier.
I really dislike when you have to do something to get the discount advertised. I should have purchased from walmart so I could have just got a cheaper price and not had to jump through hops to get a refund
Your brand colors and paid sponsorship upon searching 1-800-Contact was deceiving and distracted my attention causing me to order. I didn't receive any confirmation emails upon placing my order. I didn't receive any shipping notifications or updates. Instead, I had to retrace my ordering steps to discover I didn't order from my preferred website, as well as having to click on my order to find any tracking information.
I do feel like the process is overhyped. Yeah, it was easy to find the contacts I needed and quick to verify prescription. I used 1-800 Contacts thinking it was going to be cheaper than me going through Costco. It's not necessarily the case, I got a mail in rebate. Which is fine until I realized the only option on the rebate was a gift card. I was hoping it would have refunded that part. Quick and easy order, just wasn't cost effective for me.
Ordering was fast. I had to call to get my prescription processed asap since I needed my rgp before traveling. The customer support agent was able to confirm my prescription with my doctor office while I was on the call and then my order was processed next day and I received my contacts 3 business days after I placed the order as expected.
I got the email stating my contacts were shipped on 1/30 and I'd get them in 5-7 days. I didn't receive them until 2/11 because they weren't actually shipped on 1/30 because 1800contacts didn't have them in stock. If I'd known it was going to take that long, I'd have paid a little more to Walmart to get them within days.
