Worthless site as the site doesn't work and doesn't provide any information they claim to provide.
The website continuously errors out. Support just tells you to clean cookies and historical data, which doesn't help at all. They tell you that they are going to get the report, but you cant get it. Every search the support people needs to access the report, certainly not a usable system.
Not ANY cancellation or refund given yet... I have not used this for months at this point, yet I am being charged last 4+ months
I was charged over 100 bucks and they wont refund me. I didnt know truthfinder existed until I kept receiving charges. After changing debit cards numerous times i was still be charged. I reported this to them that I did not have any account and they demanded i send info I did not know. It was someone who was able to get my information and regardless the card number they was still able to charge me. I ended up closing the account out. I still have not received a refund. This company is a joke and to whomever scammed and got my info deserves to be charged

I've had an ongoing issue for months that prevents me from logging in and using the account I pay for. Phone support just gives me the same list of things to try, none of which work. They say they escalate the problem and I never hear back. After emailing support several times, I finally got someone to email me back with a list of the same things support has already had me try multiple times. They say they don't know what the problem is, that I'm the only one experiencing it, and to just use their app instead of browser. The app is terrible and is no where near efficient enough to use for my purposes.

I have given this company several, several opportunities to redeem themselves over the years. I've cancelled my service 4 different times and they STILL charge me! I have numerous and I do mean numerous correspondence emails. Watch your drafts bc they will just randomly charge you. If I was the BBB I would have shut them down years ago. Yes they might refund your money, but then 2 months later there are charges. Seems like they are charging people with the mindset that people won't notice…. Horrible and incomplete reports and searches aren't even worth a dime. I do know they have several complaints that have gone all the way to the attorney general in Mississippi. It's really sad that this company is a scam!

Two different things, the info for my age is 72(84), my wife 72(passed away 10 years ago. Can't trust any of the information they sent. Only used it one time but will be last. $28.33 plus tax down the drain.

I have stage 4 cancer and wanted to find one of my very best friends from childhood - so decided to sign up for a short term membership to find contact info for folks that I could connect to online.
I did the right thing and cancelled - received the attached email from Truthfinder - so thought all was good.
I was not only charged - but charged two more times after this email!
When I reached out to my PayPal account to request a charge back to Truthfinder - their Bot just simply stated that Truthfinder had done everything appropriately!
Needless to say - I immediately closed my PayPal account!
I still have not received a refund and PayPal is still holding excess funds of mine!
DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!

I have paid@ $30 a month for the last six months. Despite paying for unlimited, I was capped at 8 reports. They claim I requested over 300 reports because each time I opened one of the 8 reports, they counted it as a new request.The hold time to reach a representative was excessive. When I finally reached someone, the hung up on me. Their hours of operation are limited compared to other services of this type.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I deactivated my account about a year ago. In September of 2023 I noticed my bank account was still being debited $28.05, $7.99, $3.99 every month. I called and was assured the charges would stop and that I would be refunded for the charges made since cancellation. In January of 2024 I noticed that I was still being charged and was never refunded. I called and got the same promise. It is now May of 2024 and I have yet to see a refund and they have debited those amounts from my account each month. The charges add up to $260.07. I have emailed several times over the last seven days with no response. I had to get a new debit card and my bank is investigating this as fraud. This really is nothing short of theft. Do NOT use this service. There are other much better much more thorough services that will not steal your money. I suggest you use those. The photo on my review is the screenshot from September 2023 where my account had already been inactive for 191 days

I found no further information about them as well. I believe it is a scam!

We googled someone, then checked the 'details' box. After going through about 15 minutes or more of answering questions, we get to the very end and find out we have to now pay to get the report. There was no mention of that up front, so we wasted 15 minutes of our lives for nothing. Thanks for nothing Truthfinder.

I just looked up my own personal file; Truth Finder has me listed as some sort of criminal. I have NO criminal record. It also has me on a government watch list. Why would I be on a government watch list? I have not been in any protests or threaten anyone. I am retired and I stay home every day. They have people connected to me that I don't even know. The most I have received is a traffic ticket for going through a red-light district. It is not using my full name and your website had me living in Aubrey Texas, I NEVER LIVED IN Aubrey, TX.

Do not use this company. The irony, a company that is called Truth Finders are total scam artists. I needed to look up a single person and I signed up with TruthFinder got all the information that was already available for free online. Nothing more, and I canceled the subscription the same day as I bought it, which you can do because it says "cancel at any time.". The following month I saw another charge so I cancelled again. This happened in November 2023 and in March 3024 I noticed another charge so I disputed just that charge because I didn't have any proof of cancellation. In the meantime American Express suggested I email the company. My email was answered quickly and the representative acknowledged that I cancelled in November and that she would make sure I was refunded, however, the only refund I received was the one I disputed to Amex.
Now this makes the situation even more outrageous, they attempted to charge me again in April and I was notified by Amex. They acknowledged my cancellation yet instead of refunding me, the continued to charge me. They were also charging around $29 a month and this most resent charge was for $34. I'm so glad they acknowledged my November cancellation in an email. Now I'll dispute all charges with American Express and report them to The NY State Attorney General and the BBB. I'm guessing they do this regularly!

I simply wanted to find an address for someone. Truthfinder popped up first so I foolishly proceeded. I didn't get the address, nor did I pay anything, but now I keep getting popups on my computer telling me my report is ready and I need to pay for it. I have written them several times asking them to stop sending the notice and to not contact me anymore, but to no avail. They make it next to impossible to contact them, and when you finally figure out how, they ignore you. I will NEVER use this service.

Answer: To Amber: I have used Truthfinder for several years and of all the search sites, I have found their information the most current (and the most correct). I 100% believe that there are scammers that USE Truthfinder - to get information they can't get on Google - but I don't think that Truthfinder "scams people". They get their data from "public information" - something we could all get if we had the time and patience to find information about any person that someone is looking for out there. I use the website to find high school classmates and I have been pleased with the success I have had finding "long, lost friends". I agree with you that the scammers need to be prosecuted for all the times they break the law. They should all get off the couch and get a job instead of stealing from honest people who are trying to take care of their families by actually WORKING.
