Taimi is the most predatory dating app out of about 10 I've used. Every single aspect of the app is meant to extort you for money. Basic functions require premium. First, you have a tiny tiny amount of swipes per day unless you $, and 20% of profiles are locked by Taimi behind a paywall as "diamond dates" which are probably just profiles that get lots of hits that they are monetizing that person's profile without the person's say so. You can't swipe on these without $, even though it shows them to you and it makes up about 1 in 5 of your swipes. You get about 6 notifications daily trying to fool you into thinking you have a like: Your notification will say "Sandra checked out your profile", or "Jess is waiting to talk to you", but it's just a random profile that probably actually passed on your profile. There's a discovery page that is 5 categories... All but one of them are behind paywall, including the "Curated for you" channel. There IS a "Boosted" channel that is "free" for you to look at, however, these profiles have no relevance to you and include random people from all over the country. So literally there is nothing useful on the whole discover page. What's WORSE is that I think these people PAY to be boosted, which is just as useless to them because all the hits they get will be from half the country away. They also constantly change how basic features else, trying to find new ways to scam your money. Last week they stopped letting you see ANY information on profiles... as in, you can see the person's pictures but you couldn't see their age, preferences, or their profile section. This wasn't a glitch. Per their customer support, it was an actual "test"(presumably to see how much people would complain if they make this permanent as another paywall!).
The only reason I keep checking the app is because lots of alt people use it and you might somehow match with someone cool, despite the app actively being the worst possible experience. That's not even going into how it ignores your preferences (I routinely am shown lesbian profiles who clearly didn't select men as a preference, etc). Oh yeah! The NEWEST scam is that when you run out of profiles to view it now automatically CHANGES your distance and age filter to show more people without you agreeing. So you have to constantly change them back, over and over.
Support is so incredibly helpful, but the app just keeps getting worse. They keep putting things behind pay walls and its gotten so bad to the point where you cant see any information about someone besides photos before matching. Absolutely awful.

When it comes to the test you're referring to - where the profile information becomes visible after a successful match - this has nothing to do with premium or making purchases in the app. This feature has not been monetized.
In reality, it's just a temporary test we're running to assess user experience on Discovery. It'll be closed according to aggregate user feedback, including yours.

I'm paying $17 a week and I only get three free messages!? What a rip off! You should get unlimited messaging once you pay for seven freaking days. And I've never seen so many unattractive women in my life. I hate to say it, any other site is better.

It's important to understand the difference between messages and instant chats.
While regular messaging happens for free after someone you liked likes you back (you get a "match"), Instant chats are a premium feature that allow you to initiate conversation before the match happens. 😊
When you say that you only get "three free messages" with your subscription, I assume you're referring to the instant chat feature.
The three instant chats included with your plan renew every week and allow you to initiate conversation before someone likes you back, but messaging is actually always free, as long as you have a mutual like with the other person!
This means that, in practice, we already provide "unlimited messaging."

I assume you might be referring to Diamond Dates, which are popular profiles selected by the algorithm according to your preferences.
They occasionally appear in your Discovery queue, but when you have premium, you can access them directly from the Trending Now section of the app - the star icon in the bottom app menu. 🌈
If you're referring to incoming likes or visitors - the same logic applies!
When you have premium, you have access to the entire list of profiles in its respective section in the Activity menu (heart icon in the bottom app menu).

I paid 15.98 for their Silver that virtually does not allow you to contact or receive replys! Then they want you to upgrade at a ridiculous additional cost to their Gold plan!
I requested a refund within their 48 hr acceptable time frame and after like 12 emails back n forth was still denied my money back! DO NOT TRUST THIS RIPOFF SITE WITH YOUR TIME OR HARD EARNED MONEY!

Taimi is a legitimate business. Cons;
1. They do not let you keep your temporary profile.
Why? You would find out all the likes and comments you were getting swamped with, were fabricated if they were still be on the profile. All those likes and comments disappear once your a member.
2. Auto pay. They count on the fact you have to cancel your subscription, not just uninstall it. If the

3. Exorbitant membership fees. Why? It's not like your employing vast amounts of people. A few administrative people is the only cost.
4. Pixelated members. This I can understand. The few times I got to view members, male and female,

Most likely, by the time you subscribed, you had already received many likes and visits from users according to your preferences, resulting in a natural decline in activity over time.
When it comes to the automatic renewal of the subscription, this happens because subscriptions are managed by an external payment system (Google Play or the App Store, for instance.)

I had such a good experience with their live support! They are very helpful people; I like this app a lot.

We're very sorry to hear that you feel this way about the Taimi app. We indeed sometimes show you profiles that you've already skipped in order to give you a chance to reconsider your decision without needing to upgrade to premium. If there's a specific profile you see more often, it might be because they have multiple accounts in the app. Have you tried blocking them?
We have also changed the limits in the Discovery section for all plans - free and premium. This was done in an effort to ameliorate our algorithm and provide better results.
Remember that although you can't see your incoming likes, your mutual ones are always available. To match with other users, no subscriptions are required.

We would like to take this opportunity to clarify a few points:
- Your daily action limit resets every day, and no actions are required to interact with mutual likes.
- "Curated for you" profiles rotate twice per week, and become available as regular profiles on Discovery once they leave the rotation.
- The notifications you're referring to seem to be from profile visitors ("admirers"). You can disable them via the app's Settings.
- The page you described is called "Trending Now," and consists of special profile selections for premium members. These profiles will still be available in your Discovery queue, and except for "Curated for you" profiles, can be interacted with for free.
- Profile boosts are indeed available for an extra cost, and act upon the preference filters of whoever activates them, including distance.
- The test we ran briefly, which excluded profile information until the match, had no established link with our premium features. It has already been closed, and we apologize for any inconvenience it may have caused.
- The Discovery algorithm works according to gender preference, not sexuality. If you came across someone's profile despite not being compatible with their sexuality, this most likely means their search preferences were incorrectly configured.
All of that being said, your comments were interesting to analyze and could definitely be useful in understanding how to improve the usability and user-friendliness of the app.
