Very prompt to get back to you, they know the information so multiple back and forth with emails as not always explained the first time. This was my first time booking for a foreign destination so not familiar with terms and conditions.

I had a very negative experience with this company in Milan. Their service is extremely disappointing, and it's unclear what they even charge their agency fees for. As a tenant, you have absolutely no protection if important information about the property is hidden or misrepresented.
I found a room on their website. I checked the map on Spotahome, and according to it, the apartment was located somewhere near Lodi/Brenta. Nowhere on the listing did it state that the apartment was for men only.
After they confirmed the booking and charged me, I discovered two things: the apartment was actually quite close to Corvetto (so a different area of the city), and I would be living with three adult men. As a young woman I was quite disturbed by the last fact. Googling the address, I saw a visual of the backyard filled with trash on Maps.
All of this was an unpleasant surprise to me. I contacted the landlord and Spotahome support asking for help, but was simply told that I can cancel and lose all of the money I paid already. They refused to refund me anything.
Considering the fact that I booked without knowing full information, I feel it was reasonable to expect at least some kind of a waiver on Spotahome, or anything at all.
If you use this platform, be prepared for unpleasant surprises from landlords and zero support from Spotahome.

I used Spotahome to rent out an apartment under their Plus plan (8% commission and a supposed 12-month guarantee).
The approved booking listed two adults, but at check-in four people showed up — including two minors.
The platform was aware of the situation but never informed me, merely collecting the full commission upfront. It provided no protection and did not activate the rental guarantee, leaving me to deal alone with an irregular situation, facing legal burdens and extra costs, despite having fulfilled all my contractual obligations.
Spotahome's legal office never replied to my lawyer's certified emails (PEC), and the company has no direct phone number, making any effective communication impossible.
Landlords should absolutely avoid this platform.

Marta was helping me throughout the process, they responded me fast. The booking process is smooth and easy.
The reason of leaving 2 star here is that:
- I have been informed about an agent that the flat has a washing machine and it turns out that there is none, requested additional pictures or videos about the flat to confirm this, they said landlord has been contacted for it - apparently no updates for over a week now
- I had a failed payment where I already contacted the bank to increase the card limit, spotahome still kept trying to charge me and sent me messages at 1:30AM that I have to update my payment methods otherwise the booking will be gone
- since they got my money and the reservation has been confirmed, they are really slow with the responses, before it was like in 5-10 min, now I haven't heard from them for over 16hrs...
- chatbot uses mainly copy paste answers, with non relevant information

The site offered hundreds of options, which is good but also a bit overwhelming when scrolling through them. The booking happened easily and suddenly I had a room booked! I only wish I could see the other tenants on the site (at least gender and age).

Spotahom helped me find my future home for the next 4 months. When my application got rejected, they provided service to help me and guide throughout an investigation for a new apartment. The only thing I would criticise is that the help I received was from a Bot, and I could not communicate with a personal assistant, which made the process a little bit more difficult.
