I received the wrong item… the only reason I spent money there was to order this particular pen. Their ordering system to choose individual colors isn't user-friendly, but I know what I put in my cart because I matched the number. Looking at their reviews, I'm not the only one with the same issue. Customer service was condescending and unhelpful. I won't buy from here again. I'd rather support a business who is kind.

Placed an order for some ink bottles and writing pads. Days later get an e-mail. One of the bottles of ink is actually out of stock even though it shows on the web site. They will refund or I can choose another item at or below the value of the ink. Seemed odd the way they worded it, but I chose a Pilot Metropolitan as I never had one yet. It was less than the value of the ink. It doesn't come with a converter, so I ask them to include one, I'll pay the couple dollars difference. They ignore my request, send me the pen without a converter and offer a refund of $1.08. Pure nonsense. Terrible customer service. I would gave thrown in the silly converter after wasting so much of my customers time, but at least put the converter in the order as requested and charge the couple dollars extra for it. Now I have a pen with no converter to use with the ink I bought. Petty, unprofessional nonsense. Back to Goulet Pens for me.

I am a pen junkie. I am always on the lookout for the elusive perfect pen. JetPens has everything and then some. I love that I can buy pens/markers/fine liners from them that I would not normally have access to or even know about. Also their prices are great and their shipping is even greater, I always get my orders within about 2 or 3 days of placing them and I always only use the standard shipping. If you love pens or stationary then you should definitely check out JetPens. I have placed well over a dozen orders on their site and have never had any issues!

My story - I have bought a lot of items in the past from JetPens. My last purchase included a fountain pen. The description did not mention that it didn't come with a converter. When I received the pen, I realized I would need to buy a converter. In order to buy the converter, a $5 item, I would have to pay shipping that cost more than the converter. I asked them if they could just stick the converter (which is the size of a super skinny joint and weighs under an ounce) in a #10 envelope with a first class stamp - I'd be happy to pay for the stamp. They refused. That is a company that cares nothing about their customers. That was my last order from them forever. The two stars is because they have such a varied inventory and the prices are competitive. But I won't deal with a company that won't work you.

I'm a stationery junkie, with my specialty being notebooks, highlighters and gel/liquid ink pens but a friend got me into fountain pens recently and looking for fountain pen friendly notebooks led me to JetPens. They carry a huge variety of Japanese notebooks (Kokuyo, Maruman) and the beloved Rhodia brand as well as many beginner/student friendly priced fountain pens (Lamy, Pelikan and cheaper Sailors). There are also a ton of other items: pencil cases, inks, mechanical pencils and so forth. They offer free shipping above $25, which is so easy and tempting. The packaging is always fine, no ink bottles broken or notebooks scuffed. Many customers review the items making their product review system extra helpful.

WARNING: STAY AWAY

This company has some seriously strange ideas about security.

I tried to purchase a planner from them on 4/8/22. The purchase went through and I was debited the correct amount. Two days later on 4/11/22 I received an email explaining that they needed to "verify" my purchase, and telling me that they had not only kept all my credit card info, but that they'd gone back in and made a second, unauthorized debit, and that I needed to verify the exact amount of that debit before they'd send me the planner I ordered.

I checked with my bank and this is absolutely not a typical thing. I ended up canceling my credit card to prevent them from making further debits. After further emails back and forth, I'm convinced they weren't trying to scam me, but no vendor should ever make unasked for withdrawals from anyone's account for any reason. That's NOT how you verify a purchase.

I did receive my initial money back, as well as the second debit, but I'll never do business with them again, and I urge anyone to check that they've ceased this practice before buying anything from them.
