Hoveround has met and exceeded all expectations when delivering and setting up my o-2 machine and my electric wheelchair as well. Customer service was very attentive to my needs and completed everything to my satisfaction. Thanks to the employees who helped me.
I love my new Hoveround. It is comfortable, well thought out, and fun. Using the joystick is a challenge because I live in an assisted living building in a small single bedroom. When I need to go down a very long hall to get to the dining room, activity room or physical/occupational therapy room, it is perfect. When I need to back up to maneuver around furniture, it is a challenge. And the fact that when going backwards I have to push right to go left, and push left to go right is tough to remember (I have NEVER driven a forklift or similar vehicle). I expect I will get the hang of it eventually, and I have some funny stories in the meantime.

The representative was very helpful with me applying for a new motorized Hoveround wheelchair, telling me what steps needed to be followed. She answered any questions that I had. I'm excited about getting a new chair.

From start to finish, everyone I dealt with was extremely friendly and super caring. The chair was made for my specifications for my back, which is a major plus. John brought it, and was here just when he said. He goes over every detail and shows you how to use it and makes sure you are comfortable before leaving. For once, I had a painless experience. Would have been nice to know how long the phone call was going to take overall. Was put on hold for another rep and waited so long to the point that the original rep said she was still waiting for someone to pick up. If she came on again, I was going to tell her I didn't have any more time at the moment. So in the future you need to give an eta on how long this is going to take, people have other things to do.

The whole process was like a walk in the park. The staffs was very Pleasant and professional. I had my information ready and my insurance cards at hand
In just a few minutes they were able to get the paperwork started for my Hoveround, they even went out of there way to call my doctor for an accessment appointment to speed things up.

I have been in a hoveround wheelchair for 11 yrs. This was the hardest order to get processed the the first one they brought was not right one and now I am still waiting for it because I needed a reclining back so I am still waiting. I just hope this mess will soon be over.

We started the Hoveround process 11-12-24. We went to the doctor and it took forever to get info passed on to Hoveround. Fast forward to today when I spoke with the doctors office; our hospital OSF does not work with Hoveround.
Called back again to Hoveround to her a woman who had an attitude from the second she took our call. They can our will not help find a provider in the are a that Hoveround work with. She asked if we just want to cancel our order and to to an other company. WOW! Way to lose business Hoveround.
Asked if they had and suggestions and to who to work with and she said no and had no idea.
Attitude was still there. Told her we are cancelling and hung up. They have been less that helpful. Good luck with Hoveround.

I called Hoveround and they took care of me. I need to be able to get out of my apartment and I can't walk very good anymore or very far. They even called the doctor for me to make an appointment to get the script for the chair. The chair will help me to get around my apartment and be able to get out more.

Answer: So sorry to hear that. I am no longer living with my father-in-law, but I can add to my earlier review and comments. The company did exactly the same thing to him, again. A year later. They got in touch to say that Medicare had accepted their appeal and that the chair was now finally his, and they sent a guy round with the paperwork for signature and everything looked great. It subsequently turned out that Medicare hadn't approved anything and didn't know anything at all about the appeal, and that they were not going to pay. The story that Hoveround gave me was smoke and mirrors and back came the bill for the chair again. As far as I know, a year and a half on, the chair is still not officially his. I probably won't hear anything more about it now, but I'm quite glad I don't have to deal with these people yet again.

Answer: Yes, if doctor can prove medically necessary. Doctor must make file notes to support and you must have an office visit that only addresses the need for your chair.
