I paid $46 for a 13 minute ride from the hospital to my home.
The ride was $11
The operator get $11
The monthly membership was $17
Additional $7 in extra fees
Supervisor Lynn couldn't tell me what all the membership fee covers except for 24/7 operator service when I call.
I had the service for lest than a week and when I saw all the fees for 1 short ride I just knew they were scamming people.
My 83 year old mother requested a round trip ride to pick up her groceries. When she got to Sam's Club driver told her to get out. That driver was not taking g her back home. Customer service said they told my mom they could not guarantee round trip. She really didn't grasp what that meant. Didn't understand she was going to be told to get out. I thought this service was geared for seniors to help them maintain independence. I do not recommend this service for anyone's loved ones.
I am writing this review to express my deep dissatisfaction with GoGoGrandparent and to warn others about my experience, which I believe borders on elder abuse.
My 89-year-old mother, who is going blind, needed assistance with shopping and other tasks. My brother discovered GoGoGrandparent and thought we had finally found a solution to help her. He set up an account, and my mother went out to buy water. To our shock, this simple errand ended up costing us $250!
When I called GoGoGrandparent to address the issue, I was told that they had no record of an account in either my brother's name or my mother's name. This lack of accountability is unacceptable, especially for a service that claims to cater to seniors in need.
I cannot stress enough how concerning it is that a business like this operates without proper oversight or customer support. It feels like they are taking advantage of vulnerable seniors during a time when they need help the most. I urge anyone considering this service to think twice and explore other options. This has been the worst experience, and I would not recommend GoGoGrandparent to anyone.
I would put a 0 if rating was available. I signed up in Aug while my car was down. I used it 1 time then cancelled toward end of month. When I called the person kept telling me I had free rides available. I told them I didn't want free rides just cancel. I was not charged in Sept so assumed I was cancelled. Then I was charged in Oct. I called and was told I had agreed to a free month but it wasn't cancelled. A supervisor by the name of Frank was rude and told me I could not get a refund. He then hung up on me. SCAM!
Just had a lengthy interaction for a possible role with this company. The general feeling or takeaway is unscrupulous.
I went thru the process of using their service.until they asked for my credit card.
I called only to find out
1. A membership fee
2. Cost the same as contacting uber or left directly.
3. They asked first my credit card number
4. I told them it was a scam and hung up
5. Sent email stating they should be ashamed for taking advantage of elderly
2 rides and I canceled. 1st ride driver wore a headset. That must be illegal. Felt uncomfortable. 2nd ride almost hit another vehicle. Went a long way around cost me $10.00 more because of that. $100.00 plus down the drain. What a ripoff. Never again. Bad company
The way the plans are written up makes you believe if you start a plan it says operated ordered is Unlimited. But it is not.it only means that you get charged for each ride.i only needed a one mile ride at 915.and then was charged 10 to 15 over and above my basic plan. And before you realize this on your first ride three days have passed and you can't get a refund. Also they never came one night and every time I called them they kept telling me that they were looking for a driver even though I ordered it in the morning. Thank you God that, my boss waited and brought me home. Do not, make the same mistake I did.it was half the price to take a town taxi.
My elderly mother was trying to download uber app on Google store when this offer popped in and it enticed her to sign up and she did not even understanding all the details. Then they charged her $124.
If there is a God hope he strikes these people that prey on the elderly.
Go go Grandparent tried 6 times to get money out of our bank account. Never signed up with them as we have our own cars. So there is no reason
My husband had to cancel his debit card, because of this company. Not looking good for ya Go Go grab the money.
