Do not use this company

I am devastated as I used Alpha rooms to book a holiday for my 40th wedding anniversary. I am due to travel in 4 days and they have cancelled my holiday by email which I found by accident as it went into my junk. I have paid a large sum of money and Alpha will not refund my money so I can go an celebrate my anniversary. The reviews are true they are a scam. How this type of company can be allowed to operate is unbelievable. People have come out of the terrible Covid situation and worked hard to save to go away and enjoy a little bit of pleasure. This terrible uncharitable company have removed that from me. I hope this review helps someone.

Don't trust Alpharooms
October 15, 2021

Booked the hotel golden rock 17 th of September. Payed in full for the12th to the 19th of October all inclusive 2 people. Got our accommodation voucher. And arrived at the resort hotel to find Alpharooms had cancelled our booking on the day of arrival with out sending us a email. Hotel reception contacted Alpharooms and they gave us a in resort help line. Who were unhelpful and belligerent. Said we would get a refund in 3 days and it was a technical mistake by Alpharooms and there was nothing they could do. We had to pay again £480 to the hotel reception. Guess what Alpharooms have not refunded us and judging by all the reviews of them of the same thing I think we will have a fight on our hands to get a refund. Back at home now and have contacted Alpharooms who don't give a monkeys. Given the same spiel as when we phoned resort helpline will be refunded in 3 days. Yeah of course we will. They would of left us in Turkey without a hotel and was nt bothered one bit if we had the money to pay for another hotel. All I can say to people reading this review is book at your own risk

DO NOT USE

Would not recommend. Could not give us original hotel so told us they had booked us into a hotel 10 minutes away when it actually turned out to be 1 hour away and would not offer any other alternative other than cancellation with no refund even though we had not got what we had paid for otherwise false adverising. We tried to speak with staff which was otherwise useless as they did not understand us which is not their fault but if you are running a customer service surely they should be able to speak English. They could not understand what we were saying therefore going around in circles. We then changed our transfer times as the airport told us there was delays. We rang alpha rooms to change our transfer time to an earlier time which they confirmed that they had done. Only for us on the day to be sitting waiting/ running late an hour. A joke of a company to be dealing with and I will never be using again. Shambles of a website. Stick to booking.com or hotels.com

AVOID
I booked a hotel with this company and when I got there they had no booking confirmation. I contacted alpha rooms and they said there was nothing g they could do. I had to pay again at reception. I have been a emailing alpha rooms constantly with little reply only to make excuses to get rid of me

Short summary: This company, Alpharooms should not be allowed to function! Extremely poor/actually, non existent customer service and after 14 months of chasing for a refund, numerous emails and calls still not refund. Next step is to contact my lawyer! DO NOT book your holiday with this company... it's only waste of time and headaches!

Absolutely disasters to deal with... Received email from Aer lingus start of November that my flight had been cancelled for 29th December so was told I would be refunded throw the agent which was alpha rooms I have been ringing almost everyday spoke to atleast 10 different customers service employees jasmine, Lauren Benjamin Mike Hanson kenneth Stanley ANNA ( AND ESPECIALLY REEVES WOULD PROMISE YOU THE WORLD) And today was told the same old stories they haven't received the refund from Aer lingus or that you will have to wait 1 year till fligt was ament to go or we will give a voucher or 3 months till fligt has gone money will be give back that was by floor supervisor Mike which was the only email in writing of alpharooms. Know Stewart greene the manager has told me to be patient for couple more days and all phone calls recorded they have been given me every excuse not to give me my money back €1800. 00 know over 6 months waiting still waiting. ABSOLUTE JOKE STAY WELL CLEAR

I have used Alpharooms many times over recent years however my trip in Dec. 2020 will be the last time. Accommodation and transfers were booked with Alpharooms and unfortunately the airline changed the flight day. We contacted Alpharooms to request a change of hotel to airport transfer which they agreed they would arrange however they failed to do this so no transfer turned up. We contacted customer service and were told to take a taxi at our expense (1 hour taxi journey) and claim it back on our arrival in the UK. Several emails and a letter have failed to bring a response or the refund. Don't waste your money booking with this company as they will not refund if there is any problems.

Nightmare

We are a family of 6 who had booked flights, transfers and hotel stay in Salou for july 2020. Due to the Coronavirus our holiday was unable to go ahead. Alpharooms was 100 % aware of this fact 2 months before our departure. They continued to take payments from my bank until they had taken the full ammount, over 4 thousand euros... I had numerous emails and phone calls and chat... Some answered, some not... As i wanted to get a refund. This company basically ignored my request, say that i could get a refund in march 2021 if i didnt use my credit before that date. They were unhelpful, sometimes rude in their responses. After a lot of stress attached to this i went to my bank and informed them of the behaviour of the company. They refunded me the full amount. My advice would be to never book with this company. Read reviews before you attempt to use this company. I wish that i had read them as most of them are terrible. The only good reviews are the ones that they have written themselves!?

AVOID. Not even covered by ABTA
If there was an option for 0 stars, I'd of left that. Holidayed in Turkey in Sept 2020 and booked Hotel and transfers with AlphaRooms. We were left stranded at the airport in the early hours as our transfer didn't turn up, tried all week to contact them but no success. The hotel tried at the end of our holiday when we were concerned our transfer may not turn up again, It didn't. Hotel tried and managed to find the taxi company that AlphaRooms had booked through and they explained, and printed off proof in writing, that "AlphaRooms had cancelled our booking". It cost us another £100 to pay for taxis both ways.
On our return I have tried and tried to contact them, over twenty emails, numerous phone calls, even getting to speak to a foreign rep that said "they would pass on our concerns by internal email to "customer relations" and they would contact me within 28 days", of course, that hasn't happened. Apparently "there is no direct route to Customer Services, by phone or email"?.
I contacted ABTA who are the Regulatory Body for all reputable travel companies but guess what, ABTA explained that AlphaRooms are not a member! That says it all really. DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY, they charge fees for even the most smallest amendment but should you encounter a problem whilst abroad or at home, you will not be helped, or even responded to. AVOID AT ALL COSTS...

My holiday was cancelled due to covid, not alpha rooms fault but there customer sevice has been terrible, I myself chased the refund for flights and jet 2 refunded straight away, but to alpha rooms as it was booked through them, this was for a holiday in April we are now in November and I am still awaiting a refund? I have been phoning dauly and am constanly phobed off, they do not reply to emails and my stress levels are through the roof, my credit note that I didn't want expires next month and I am no closer to obtaining my refund

I Booked a holiday with alpharooms in January. I booked our holiday for three people to Tenerife paid in full, I had to cancel my holiday due to covid 19 as my partner is a front line staff member and was not permitted to leave the country. I cancelled my holiday a month and a half before we were meant to fly out. When I cancelled my holiday on the alpharooms website didn't hear from them at all I had to ring them to make sure that the holiday was cancelled. I was told that someone will be in touch in a months time and that was it. A month and a bit passed and someone from alpharooms got on to me just bouncing emails back and forward getting nowhere. They refused to contact the hotel and the airline for a refund. I tried to contact the hotel and the airline but they would not accommodate me as I did not book the holiday. They have stopped replaying to all my emails and I still have not received any refund it has now been three months and still have not received any refund of any kind. Alpharooms have pretty much robbed me of my money.

I would advice everyone to stay clear of Alpharooms. There is nutting Alpha about Alpharooms.

Useless!

I booked to go away in April and was told I would be contacted regarding a refund. However, in the meantime whilst waiting & I appreciate there is a delay due to covid and I'm not faulting them for that as I'm not the only one waiting for a refund... But I booked another holiday to go in August. I had someone contact me to try and cancel my August holiday, to which I explained my situation and all was fine but for some reason he didn't understand me when I asked about my refund for my April holiday when he finally understood he said he would be in contact and wasn't. Moving on, I went on my holiday in August and when I arrived at my destination they hadn't booked me my transfers I showed the person my paperwork and they hadn't received it and didn't have space to take us therefore I had to pay for a taxi to get me to my hotel. I then tried to contact alpharooms to arrange my transfer back to the hotel and they muddled it all up to the point where the hotel had to call and sort this out as they had caused enough upset and stress. I am still yet to hear back from them regarding all of my concerns. Its safe to say I wouldn't recommend alpharooms and will not be using them in the future!

Have a holiday booked in Spain 13th September. Have phoned alpharooms 5 times, 2 hangups, one left to hold for half an hour, 2 persons. Who answered the phone did not have a clue that our hotel was closed. We have no idea what to do. Have paid the final balance which they took out on Monday, also Transfers and Flights.

I have called alpharooms twice now to request a rebooking of my hoilday till next year due to Corona virus. Both times the ladies said that someone would get back to me, and they didn't. I'm truly frustrated with this, and dissatisfied, the lady on the phone talked over me and did not listen to a word I had to say, just wanted to stay on script and get me off the line. I was on hold for a period of time ( which is understandable, but what horrible music). No one has yet to still get back to me in regards to my holiday.

Site is easy enough to use and book a room. However, if something goes wrong with your booking, don't expect this company to get it sorted. My hotel closed due to coronavirus. The hotel stated they would be willing to give me accommodation at another of their hotel, all they required was Alpharooms to contact them so they could modify the booking. I have contacted Alpharooms customer service numerous times, after being kept on hold for 30-40 mins each time. My issue still isn't resolved. They weren't even aware that the hotel had closed. They just take your money, book the room then forget about you. Will never use again!
