I would like to join the Nepal program with IFRE, but I don't know if I can trust them. Any reviews about this experience?

I haven't been to Nepal but I did go to Guatemala. I had a great experience.

I am seeing a lot of negative things about the organization in reviews. I am also not clear on how this all works? What am I to believe? I want to volunteer and help but this is not encouraging.

I just came back from volunteering in Guatemala. This is a real organization and is very professional. Not a scam. I encourage you to call or email them to answer any questions that you have.
