+++They will steal your money without your notice
February 16, 2024

This is an unethic store with a group of shaddy people who do unethic business practice and they are specialized on bait and switch. Their only objective is to rob your money under that table hopefully without your notice. Here is my nightmare experience with this store. My daughter went to middle school last year and joined the band. The band director gave us a hand out with music stores from which we can rent our music instrument. We happened to step into this store to rent my daughter's first music instrument whch by now I highly regreted it. Around two weeks alter after our rental, I received an email offering a free lesson at their store. Since it is stated "free", we went which was the biggest mistake because this was a bait. My daughter school has a stationed flute instructor so I was not interested in any lesson from this store except this so called "free" lesson (which turned out to be very expensive and troublesome). After the "free" lesson, we were about to step out the store and one thin store lady who wore glasses stopped me and said she could offer me 4 lessons for about $110. I was hesitant, 1) the school actually has a stationed flute instructor, 2) $110 appeared to be a bit too much for me. I turned around and asked my daughter to see if she was interested. She replied ok with a shrug. So I handed my credit card to that thin lady for her to charge me $110,4 lesson for $110 I thought it was not too bad plus my daughter just started learning flute. This shaddy lady charged my card and has never told me anything else (she didn't mention a word about the trap she was gonna set me into). We set up the dates for the 4 lessons and left without any suspicious. About 1 month later, I noticed there was a $148 charge from Music&Arts. I was like what the hell was going on. I went back to the store and asked why. This thin lady then told me she put me a monthly contract (Guys, this is the switch part while "free" lesson as a bait). I was furious. I told her that I didn't authorize her to do so and she needed to stop and refund my money. She quickly apologized to me and said she stopped the monthly charge and she would contact her head quarter fiance department. She said the charge was only handled by that department and not by the store. She said my money would be refunded and I would get it back on my credit card for sometimes. A week later, I didn't see any credit back to my credit card so I called her agin and she asked me to call the Music&Art headquarter Finance Dept/Customer Service. I called that department, they pushed me away by saying that they were only in charge of charging money, not in charge of lesson and asked me to go back to store. I called store, this time I talked with this manager named Brian who was very rude and arrogant. He said his employee (that thin lady) told him that she told me it would be a repeated charge. I told him that that was no true. I told him the story from my side and ask him to provide any proof that I authorized the repeated charge in writing such as a contract. No, this Brian Palat guy couldn't produce any proof except repeatedly told me that his employee told him blahblab... He refused to listen to me. Very rude guy and kept interrupting me on the call and threatened to hang up. Out of options, I had to call their HQ CS department again and opened several tickets. I also sent them multiple email concerning this unethic switch and bait practice. The last time I called a lady said yeah, we had a lot of charges like that and you are not the only one. However every time they promised me some high manager from Music&Art would call me back to talk about this, every time it was a false promise. I was promised a district manager would contact me personally, no, zero people called me. After many emails and calls with Music&Arts and the issue didn't go anywhere. I started to realize that this was their coporate culture actually. Instead of respecting and taking care of a first time customer like me and hope me to come back repeatedly, they aim to screw you every time you go there and every time you hand your credit card to them. I dont' know the whole Music&Art chain, but there are a group of unethic people working in this particular store (631 N Main St Suite 107, Alpharetta, GA *******) and carrying out unethic business practice. Their goal is to screw you as soon as you walk in by secretely putting you into a monthly charge program once you found it out, they will deny their crime completely and faked execuses. I ended up calling my credit card company for a charge dispute, after months' back and forth between credit card company and Music&Arts, Music&Arts agreed to credit me back the $148 they illegally charged me and I got a letter about that from my credit company. Yeah, in 1/2024, they secretely charged the same card again. What an unethic store and despicable group of people! Do NOT GO There!
