Easiest way to get your refund
May 1, 2022

I'm reading A LOT of comments (literally all of the comments) about how they purchased a deal from this website and for some reason or another (ex: the business closed permanently) and a refund was unable to be obtained from the owner of the business (which they are not legally required to provide a refund, since the deal was purchased through a 3rd party site) and seizethedeal.com denied refund requests for whatever reason they provided.

You can still get your money back. CONTACT YOUR BANK AND DISPUTE THE CHARGE.

You can call your bank or (if your bank has the option) you can file the dispute online or through their app. Explain the situation and ask what proof is needed. (Some banks may not require proof as they will investigate it anyway, while others will be satisfied with screen shots. (For example, if the location of the business was closed permanently, do a google search of the business. Google will show the local location with address and will say "PERMANENTLY CLOSED" on the top. Screen shot where is says "No expiration date" on the deal. Etc.) If you aren't exactly sure How to obtain proof that the bank is asking for simply ask them they will tell you.

The timeline of the bank's investigation may vary, however, they are legally required to provide a you with a provisional credit equal to the amount of the dispute 10 business days from the date the dispute was filed. Some banks, such as Wells Fargo, will provide you with an instant provisional credit while they do the investigation- depending on how long you have been with them and your account status. They do not have to provide you with an instant credit however they must provide you provisional
Credit at the 10th business day mark.

Boom. There you go. Now go get your money back!

Next time, before you purchase ANYTHING from an unknown website, do these things:

1. A simple search on the BBB or trust pilot's website will have great information regarding the Integrity of the company, with disputes visible and how/if they were resolved. If you are able to find the company on these two websites, You can do a Google search by typing in the web pages address and add "scam" after it. (For example: "seizethedeal.com scam" - this is how I found this website and all of these reviews.)

2. Always, and I mean ALWAYS read the Refund policy and terms and conditions. Nine times out of 10 you'll see a red flag.

3. NEVER GIVE YOUR CARD/BANKING INFORMATION OUT OVER THE PHONE- Not even Amazon will take over the phone payments! Websites that have payment methods such as Zelle or CashApp are a SCAM.

And most importantly,

4. If it seems too good to be true - it probably is.
Websites that offer expensive items at insane discounts are too good to be true. BE SMART! When in doubt, don't give your information out!
By following these steps, being smart, and using good judgement and basic common sense you will save yourself so much time, hassle, and unnecessary stress in having to dispute charges.

***If you have a pre-paid debit card/bank you can still dispute the charge and get your money back! Don't think because it's prepaid, you can't. Prepaid debit cards/banks are owned by actual banks! (MetaBank and The Bankcorp bank are popular ones)
