They create castings using our company name, email, and event information without our permission. They continue to do this even though we repeatedly asked them to stop it. Project casting is a hopeless entity trying to stay in the business with unethical practices.

I'm glad I found this review site, but I wish I had found it sooner. In the ad on Instagram they tell you its $19.99 a month, and when you click on it to purchase, you are not charged $19.99, but $239.99. I emailed them that it was a mistake and they only wrote back that they do not give refunds. Then they AUTOCHARGED ME AGAIN $239.99 THE NEXT YEAR! I I wrote them/emailed their customer service in both cases and they just come back with "we do not give refunds." They obviously don't make money getting actors work or they would be stealing people's money. I am glad other people wrote about their nightmare experience with Project Casting - makes me realize I was trapped like they were. It wasn't my fault. They have every intention of ripping you off.

I tried to get more information before paying the $239.99. I was lead to believe that I would only pay $19.99 monthly, and not pay out right $239.99 all at once. It's not explain to you that they will take the full amount instead of $19.99 monthly. Within 3 minutes I had cancel the subscription and immediately demand for my refund. That was 2 weeks ago and some clown name Jonathan seems to be the only person in their Support department. He is dragging his feet about my refund, which, he claims can be 50% less from what I paid. I am still waiting for my money. Stick with Backstage. Casting Networks or Casting Frontier. Project Casting is a COMPLETE SCAM. Fool actors into thinking you can be cast through their site. NOPE!

I kept receiving these emails to sign up for outrageous casting notices and emails had only one button: Upgrade now. I clicked it, and it led me to a website with no information, now way to check to see if these casting breakdowns were real or not and when I clicked next, it took me to paypal where automatically I was charged an outrageous amount without showing me what amount I would be charged. I tried to reverse charges of $239.99 and I was unsuccessful. The breakdowns on the website are not legitimate and the whole website is a scam.
I requested multiple times to be refunded this amount I was charged without my consent and they never replied to any of my emails. On Paypal they refused to refund my money and they offered to refund only $119.
This is a ripoff, and I am here to warn others about this company.

I register my son in May 2023 and like many of us I did not do the proper research. This site is trash and should not be able to keep peoples hard earned money when they know they cannot deliver. When you are on the site it's so hard to navigate their postings and I wish you could better filter your search like age and gender or better yet have it customize to the member's profile. They do not remove old posts I was on the site searching to find 80% of those listings were already expired meaning the shots dates were already passed. I emailed them to request a refund within the same month they ask what was the issue and when I told him about the expired posts I never got a response back.

Foolishly I found Project Casting online and did no research before signing up for a year pro VIP membership. Within a month I realized that the notices that were being sent were first off, few and far between and moreover they were all the same as I was finding elsewhere (like they just copied Boston Casting notices for example). Not only that, each day they would send me an automated email to up my membership to VIP (pro or premium - they call it all three) even though I already paid for a pro account. I've attached a screen shot asking me to upgrade after over a month of having upgraded. I found out that my profile was not coming up in searches for those who had paid for a pro account. In fact, my profile didn't come up at all in searches. Furthermore when I went to contact "customer service" I discovered there was no phone number for this company and the help link on the website leads to a dead page. Emailing them only resulted in automatic replies and a run around with no answers, no help and ignoring my request for a refund. The current Better Business Bureau score for this so-called company is an F. There are no good reviews to be found of this fake company other than a few shills and sadly there seems to be no recourse. Do yourself a favor and do NOT utilize this site. Backstage, Actors Access and Casting Networks are all legit and have better and more up to date notices. Stay away from this site like the plague. I'm sure this will get an auto reply from the company saying the same thing they have said for years. How this fake scam hasn't been shut down by now is beyond me. Stay away!

Unfortunately i hit the wrong button on my tablet that was operating slowly and paid for a full year by mistake. And of course 'all sales are final'….can't even say "ooops, i didn't mean to do that" right away and get a refund.
I filled out my info anyway but honestly, its full of stuff I can find elsewhere that im already paying for.
Some compassion for mistakes made like this should be handled better I think. Thx

This has been a terrible experience. They billed me for a year, when I only wanted a month. And I can't apply to jobs,because they keep telling me to upgrade.

I received an email for 50% off membership with code VIP. I clicked the link to see what the cost would be. It showed $19.99/month. OK - is that with or without the discount? I clicked "Upgrade my Account" to investigate further. On the next screen, there is a space to enter a promo code, BUT you have to enter in credit card info to move past that screen as well. Not a fan of putting in the info, but I say OK whatever at $120/year, I may consider it. I click "proceed" so that I can get to a summary page that shows the final cost. NOPE. Goes straight to a "Congrats You are Now Signed Up" screen. WTF?! I never even saw a final price anywhere! Then I get the notification from my credit card company that I was just charged $239.99. So not only was their check out process missing incredibly important steps, but I didn't even get their advertised discount on top of that. So now I have been mislead twice in order for them to get my money. It is incredibly annoying, but ok - I'll just contact them and tell them that I was expecting a summary screen and not for them to process payment. Surely, I will just get a refund - no harm, no foul. First, it took 2 days and multiple messages before then responded. THEN, they hit me with their "no refunds" spiel. They stated that by clicking on the "Upgrade my Account " link, that I had agreed to their terms, conditions, and no refund policy. Seriously? I NEVER clicked ANYTHING that said "pay," "process payment," "submit order", or even "submit." I have never been on any other page that does not show a summary of your order (or at least the final cost) before taking/accepting your payment. TOTAL SCAM! Between the deceptive billing process and the bogus promo code, this company used 2 different ways to defraud me. STAY AWAY and for the love of good, do not ever click "Upgrade My Membership"!

I'm a castng director in New Zealand. These people are not legit actors agency and sent out my brief without my knowledge. I have had submission through them months after the job ended. The poor child will be disappointed to learn that this agency is probably nothing but a BOT.

I had a great experience with Project Casting with my very first casting call job. They were able to help me with all my casting needs and were very professional. I would definitely recommend them to anyone in need of casting services. Thank you Project Casting!

They set me up with a fraudulent company that almost got $3500 Canadian from me. Then they would not answer my messages asking if they worked with this company.

Why would a legit company send scamming emails? Horny women pictures to lure men for pills. Photoshopped picture of Elon Musk claiming to give free electricity to everyone.

Honestly, if you apply for a casting they cant even tell you what casting you've applied to, and they have no response system set up like (thanks for applying to ETC). You're just wasting your money. They don't give you any email updates for your profile of which you create to join this site. All the responses are generic and they honestly are not helpful at all. This is the worst casting company to go through. Just do your research because this place is not it.

I worked with PC on Cobra Kai Season 4 and it was amazing. They are the best at keeping in touch with you and they remember you. That means a lot to me and I am sure it will to you as well.

Do not waste your money here. These people are scammers. I paid for a one year subscription and they auto-drafted my account for a second year without my knowledge. They do not have a phone number and will refuse to refund the annual subscription charge when you contact them by email.

I am a UK based Casting Director and started receiving submissions from this company. I did NOT give them permission to post. I am not even registered with them. I received submissions from talent in the US, when the shoot is UK. None were even on brief. It is a total waste of time for those applying and for me & is an infringement on my copyright.

I have emailed them four times asking who posted my casting. They just reply with "Thanks for your feedback".

I have expressed concerns to them that they are posting castings without verifying the client's credentials, or even if the job is genuine. I cannot tell you how dangerous this is. They could potentially be linking up vulnerable models & actors with some very unsavoury characters.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. There are plenty of legitimate casting companies out there.
