Avoid Headlight Experts at All Costs – Worst Customer Service & Misleading Product Information

If I could give zero stars, I would. With four decades of experience managing professional customer service at Fortune 500 corporations, I have never encountered such deceptive business practices, complete disregard for customer satisfaction, and outright hostility from a company representative.

Deceptive Product Listings & Misleading Recommendations
I purchased the H7 LED Headlight Conversion Kit from Headlight Experts for my 2005 Mercedes-Benz E500, based on their website's recommendation for daytime running lights. The product arrived quickly, but when my mechanic installed it, it did not work as advertised. The low beam it replaced was not a proper fit for the daytime running lights I was upgrading.

When I reached out for an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) to return the product, I was met with a level of rudeness and unprofessionalism that is simply unacceptable in any legitimate business.

Unbelievably Hostile Customer Service – Unprofessional & Abusive Behavior
After sending an email politely requesting an RMA, I received a dismissive response from someone named Robert, who provided no resolution or assistance. I then called their customer service line, and what followed was nothing short of shocking:

The representative refused to give his name, stating, "Are you stupid? I'm not going to tell you my name."
He was condescending and rude, offering zero customer support and refusing to assist with a simple return request.
When I explained my frustration and stated that I had never had such a terrible customer service experience, he responded "I could care less."
I requested his name multiple times, but he flat-out refused, making it clear that Headlight Experts does not care about accountability or professionalism.
To add insult to injury, when I later received a callback from my original email inquiry, it was the same person – Robert – the same rude representative who had insulted me earlier.
Scam-Level Restocking Fees & Unethical Return Policy
Even after enduring this horrendous customer experience, I was informed that they would keep 20% of my payment as a "restocking fee"—a blatant rip-off for a product that was incorrectly recommended by their own website.
