Car Shield helped pay for a brand new engine! My Jeep runs like a gem! Thanks Car Shieldread
Engine blew on my 2015 Kia Optima to no fault of my own. Even though i am covered up to 10k a month with the plan i have, as well as engine replacement, they wouldnt approve my quote of just under 10k for a reman engine they only covered a portion and that was my second option as the first option, they wanted to send me a used 118k mileage used motor. My cars engine blew at almoat 140k mileages. 118k mileage used motor with 12 month warrenty would not of been smart on my end. Yeah that is cost effictive for them but not for me as i can be on the same boat 20k miles later down the road and that warrenty expired. Charles literally told me they had to do what was cost effective for them. They wouldn't even cover the 16 hours of labor only did 8 hours. Not sure where they think tearing down a motor and replacing it is only worth 8 hours. So of course I had to cover the other 8. I am so disappointed in this company considering ive been a customer for about 30 months now and never had to use them and the one time I did i still paid over $5k of my own money. Not to mention ive already you $3200 for the contract alone. Thats already over $8k this costed me. For that i can put the money i spend for all of this in a bank account. Carshield should of absolutely paid the entire cost of labor as they wouldn't cover the full motor my mechanic shop went with. Whats the point of having a 10k limit a month when you all would even cover half of that. It's ridiculous. You should guys should cover that and give me a refund, i haven't even canceled my contract with you after all this but i am deciding on how to move forward after all this because i trusted and chose you guys for coverage and you really weren't who you portrayed in this situation.
