once a song is distributed, can i pull it back for editing and redistribute at no coast?

Good question. I don't think this happens from experience.
My first release was with Reverbnation, a single which bafflingly was released as an album for $19.99 or whatever it cost. Possibly my fault, didn't hurt me as an artist though as my 1 album single was on iheartradio, spotify and itunes and many other distributers I wouldn't have picked.
I since learned about the $1 singles so have made a few releases with that for reverbnation -
I've pulled a few singles on Reverbnation and Tunecore and have never received a refund of any kind, nor would I expect to.
Reverbnation do credit the money back if you pull the release pre-distribution I know that.
Maybe try routenote, I release a lot with them on there 'free' model they do take a cut of the royalties though on that plan - I like that flexibility though to be able to pull and re-release tracks.
