It is legit. John Bryan studied Wado Ryu and Go Kan Ryu. I believe that he is a 7th Dan in Wado Ryu and a 4th Dan in Go Kan Ryu. He teaches martial arts in his own dojo as well as through the internet. He teaches the techniques and kata that he has learned thoughout the years, and promots ranks through video submissions (if you pass). He interacts with his students through email.
